David N. Myers
Professor and Robert N. Burr Chair of History
David N. Myers received his A.B. from Yale College in 1982, and undertook graduate studies at Tel-Aviv and Harvard Universities before completing his doctorate at Columbia in 1991. He has served as director of the UCLA Center for Jewish Studies from 1996-2000 and 2004-2009. At UCLA, Myers teaches lectures and seminars in Jewish history.
David Hirsch
Jewish and Middle Eastern Studies Librarian, YRL and Adjunct Assistant Professor, NELC.
David Hirsch has been the Librarian for Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies at UCLA since 1989 and also serves as an adjunct professor in the Department of Near Eastern Languages and Cultures. He has lived traveled, studied, and worked in the Arab World, recently as an advisor to the National Library of Abu Dhabi.
